D. 1763. leffer Sums, which at the Time of making fuch large Bills (hall happen to be in the fame Receipt, which fliall be at the fame Time cancelled and discharged, and be kept there on a File for that Purpofe ; and fuch new Bills for fuch largeSums fhall and may be iflued at the faid Receipt, and have the fame Currency, and be in all refpeds fubjed to the fame Rules, Methods and Continuance, and carry the like Intereft, and have the fame Security, Benefits and Advantages ; and the fame Pains of Death, and other Pains, Penal- ties and P'orfeitures, for any Crime or Offence relating thereunto, fliall be inflicted, incurred, and put in Execution, as if they had been originally iflued by virtue of this Ad for "the faid leffer Bills; any Thing herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding, forging Exche- XLIII. And it is hereby enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That if any Perfon or Peifons fliall forge quer ells, Fe- or counterfeit any Exchequer Bill which fhall have been made forth by virtue of this Act, before the fame Aia]l be paid off and cancelled, or any Exchequer Bills to be renewed or made forth in purfuance of this Ad, or any Indorfement or Writing thereupon or therein, or tender in Payment any fuch forged or coun- terfeit Bill, or any Exchequer Bill with fuch counterfeit Indorfement or Writing thereon, or fliall demand to have fuch counterfeit Bill, or any fuch Exchequer Bill, with fuch counterfeit Indorfement or Writing thereupon or therein, exchanged for ready Money, by any Perfon or Perfons, Body or Bodies Politick or Corporate, who fhall be obliged or required to exchange the fame, or by any other Perfon or Perfons what- foever, knowing the Bill fo tendered in Payment, or demanded to be exchanged, or the Indorfement or Writing thereupon or therein, to be forged or counterfeit, and with Intent to defraud his Majefty, his Heirs and SuccelTors, or the Perfons to be appointed to pay off the fame, or any of them, or to pay any Intereft thereupon, or the Perfon or Perfons, Body or Bodies Politick or Corporate, who fliall contract: to circulate or exchange the fame, or any of them, or any other Perfon or Perfons, Body or Bodies Politick or Corporate ; then every fuch Perfon or Perfons fo offending, being thereof lawfully convicted, fliall be adjudged a Felon, and fhall fuffer as in Cafes of Felony, without Benefit of Clergy. ' XLIV. And to the End, Intent and Purpofe, that all the Monies to be lent at the Exchequer, on the
- Credit of this Act, within the Time before limited in that Behalf, not exceeding as aforefaid, may be
' duly repaid, and the Intereft thereof juftly fatisfied at the faid Receipt, and that all the Exchequer Bills ' to be made forth by virtue of this Act, not exceeding as aforefaid, may likewife be paid off and difcharged ' in their due Courfe and Order at fuch publick Office, as is hereafter in and by this Act appointed in that ' Behalf; and to the End the fame Bills, or fo many of them as fhall from Time to Time remain undif- ' charged, may the better obtain a Currency for fuch Time as they or any of them are hereby intended to ' be current;' Be it therefore enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That the Money which fliall from Time How the Monies to Time arife at the Receipt of the Exchequer, of or for the Rates and Duties by this Act granted, fliall, aiifing by this from Time to Time, as the fame fliall arife at the faid Receipt, be iffued and applied at the fame Receipt pEed aJ> " e ' £ h er f° r or towards paying off and difcharging the Orders of Loan, for the Money which fliall have been lent at the faid Receipt, within the Time herein before limited in that Behalf, and for fatisfying the Intereft thereof, in fuch Courfe, Manner and Form as are before in this Act prefcribed and appointed for that Pur- pofe, or be iffued to fuch Paymafter as is herein after mentioned, by way of Impreft and upon Account, for or towards paying off and difcharging the Exchequer Bills which fliall have been made forth by virtue of this Act, in fuch Courfe as aforefaid, and for and towards the paying the Intereft quarterly to become due on the faid Bills, and for or towards the Charge of exchanging and circulating the fame Bills, or any of them, and for or towards fuch other Payments as are in and by this Act directed or allowed to be made or difcharged out of the fame, and for no other Ufe, Intent or Purpofe whatfoever. And be it further enacted by the Authority aforefaid, That on the twenty-ninth Day of Sep tem- take an 7 Account ^ er one thoufand feven hundred and fixty-five, or within ten Days after, the Commiffioners of the Trea- of all Monies fury, or any three or more of them now being, or the High Treafurer, or any three or more of the Com- raifed and dif- m iffioners of the Treafury for the Time being, fliall caufe a true and perfect Account in Writing to be taken charged. anc { attefted by the proper Officers, of all the Monies which fhall have been raifed by Loans, or by Exche- quer Bills, or by any or either of thofe Ways or Means, for or towards the faid Sum, not exceeding feven hundred and fifty thoufand Pounds, by this Act intended to be raifed, as aforefaid, and how much thereof fliall before that Time have been paid off or difcharged, and how much thereof fhall then remain undis- charged, upon the faid Orders of Loan and Exchequer Bills reflectively, or upon any or either of them ; which Account fliall be publickly affixed in the Office of the Auditor of the Receipt in the faid Ex- chequer. Unfatisfied Mo- XLVI. And it is hereby enacted and declared by the Authority aforefaid, That the Monies fo remain- nies to be paid j n g unfatisfied, or not difcharged, with the Intereft due or to grow due for the fame, fhall be paid and fatif- tmta the next £ e( j out Q £ ^ n£xt ^y Qr ^-^ to - De g rante( j ; n p ar li arn ent, after the faid twenty-ninth Day of Septe?nber. one thoufand feven hundred and fixty-five, and fhall be transferred thereunto, as foon as fuch Aid or Aids or out of the fliall be granted ; and if no fuch Aid or Aids fhall be granted, whereunto fuch unfatisfied Monies fhall be Sinking Fund, transferred, before the twenty-fourth Day of March one thoufand feven hundred and fixty-fix, then the Monies fo remaining unfatisfied and undifcharged, with the Intereft due or to grow due for the fame, fliall be and are hereby charged and chargeable upon fuch Monies, as at any Time or Times fhall be and remain in the fame Receipt of the Surpluffes, Exceffes, Overplus Monies, and other Revenues compofing the Sinking Fund (except fuch Monies of the faid Sinking Fund as are appropriated to any particular.Ufe or Ufes, by any former Act or Acts of Parliament in that Behalf) ; and fuch Monies of the faid Sinking Fund fliall and may be iffued for the paying off and difcharging the faid Orders of Loan, and for fatisfying the Intereft thereof, and for fupplying Money to the faid Paymafter, for difcharging the faid unfatisfied Exche- quer Bills in Courfe, with Intereft remaining due thereupon, as the faid Commiffioners of the Treafury, of the High Treafurer for the Time being, fliall direct, until all the Principal and Intereft, which fliall be or
