of our own household—those inward impurities and secret sins, which lay waste the spiritual house of the mind, and destroy the mental kingdom that Thou hast redeemed. May a celestial love of Thee ever heave in our bosoms, and charity to the neighbour be the gift in our hands; then shall we go on our way rejoicing—then shall we know and feel that true religion is the wisdom of life, and that Wisdom's ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. O Lord Jesus! Thou that hearest prayer, unto Thee shall all flesh come. To Thee we send forth our morning supplication. We worship toward thy Holy Temple—thy Divine Humanity being the Temple of thy glorious Body, whence thou dispensest life, and peace, and blessing unto all! Thou who art the Life and Light of all men, we beseech Thee to grant us thy peace! Order Thou our steps in thy Word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over us. Thy strength gives power to our weakness; thy Wisdom is the light in our eyes, and thy Love is our daily bread for ever.
