many benefits we daily receive at thy hands; yet, as thy mercy infinitely exceeds our sinfulness, we are emboldened to come to the throne of grace to implore Thee to lay thy right hand of power upon us, and inspire us with newness of life. Help us to return to Thee in sincerity and deep repentance; so shall we become the people of thy pasture and the sheep of thy hand. We beseech Thee to bless the inhabitants of this house: may thy peace dwell within its walls, and prosperity bless its inmates. Thou, O Lord, art the Source of being; the Spring and Fountain of that life and immortality which in Thy Word Thou hast graciously brought to light. We view Thee, O Lord Jesus, as the Tree of Life; and all the fulness of thy perfections of love, goodness, mercy, and truth, as the Divine leaves and fruits thereof. O may the doctrines of thy Word, as the leaves of the Tree of Life, tend to the healing of the nations. And may the fruits of holiness tend to the sustenance of our souls.

We again bless Thee for that protecting providence which has brought us to the close of another day. Be with us through this night's repose, that the morning light may find us again full of praise and thanksgiving for thy marvellous loving-kindness.
