feeble prayer and praise. In mercy, O Lord Jesus, Thou impartest to each one of thy children that good which is adapted to his present state. And thus, Lord, we humbly acknowledge that Thou givest to each his daily dread. O gracious God and Saviour! teach us ever to place a settled dependence upon Thee, for in Thee is the truth that enlightens, and the love that imparts life and blessedness to all.

O Thou who art the Resurrection and the Life, raise us, we beseech Thee, from the mere dust of worldly desires, and grant us thy peace. Remove from us our doubts and errors, surround us evermore with thy unclouded Truth, so shall we be kept in thy fold, fed with the bread of life, and drink of the pure streams of that river, which Thou hast named the Water of Life, which proceeds out of the throne, and flows into thy church, the city of Thee our God. O give us to drink of this river for ever.

O LORD JESUS, Thou great all-knowing, heart-searching God, the Creator, Redeemer, and Saviour of our souls! again we approach Thee, with thankfulness and joy, to offer up at the throne of thy mercy, our morning sacrifice of prayer and praise.
