Shipping and Navigation.

The mercantile nary of the Turkish Empire in 1911 consisted of 120 steamers of 66,878 tons, and 963 sailing vessels of 205,641 tons.

Internal Communications.

The length of railway line in European and Asiatic Turkey on November 1, 1914, not including the most recently opened sections of the Bagdad Railway, was as follows : —
