The total value of the mineral produce was in 1918, 211,301,897 dollars ; in 1919, 173,145,913 dollars. The estimate for 1920 is about 200 million dollars. Pig-iron is valued at the furnace, non-metallic product* at the mine or point of shipment, and structural material aud clay products at the point of shipment.

The " actual reserves " of coal in the four provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba are estimated at 412,616 million metric tons ; and the "probable reserves" at 781,158 millions.
