On 9 April 1814 he took, by royal lie, the name of .Mann (only), in lieu of his patronymic, Cormcallis (on the death of his maternal uncle, Sir Horace Maun, Bart., who rf. s.p.m. 2 April 1814, when ho inherited the estate of Linton, co. Kent), and by another Royal lie, 16 Sep. 1823, was authorised to subscribe the name of Mann before all titles of honour. He m. firstly, 18 Dec. 1804, at her father's house in Saville Row, St. James', Westm., Maria Isnbella 1 , da. of Francis Dickens, of Woollastoii House, co. Northampton. She (/. 16 Jany. 1823. He m. secondly, 22 Jan. 1829, at St. Geo. Han. Sip, Laura, da. of William Hates. She d, s.p. 3 Aug. 1840. He in. thirdlv, 4 Aug. 1842, at Croydon (lie. Vic. Gen.l, Julia, 4th da. of Thomas Bacon, of Redlaiids, Berks. She d. 4 Nov. 1847, aged 37. -He d. s.p.ui.s. 21 May 1852, at Linton Place, aged 73, being bur. with his 3 wives at Linton, when all his honours became extinct.^-) Will pr. June 1852. The style of " Viscount Corrt " is used by the family of Corry, Earls Belmore [I.] as the courtesy title of the h. ap. of that Earldom. These Earls are, however, not entitled to a Viscountcy of Corry, but to one of Belmore P], i.e., a Viscountcy of the same name «b the Earldom. She m. 27 Aug. 1862, William Archer Amherst, styled Viscount Holmesdale (after- wards, 1886, Earl Amherst) and d. s.p: 1 Sep. 1883. On her death the Mann estates devolved on the issue of Lady Jemima Wykeham-Martin, da. of the Earl by his 1st wife, and his only child that left issue.
