He was outlawed (under the name of " Luke") 11 May 1691, for the adherence of his family to the cause of James II. which outlawry was reported as " taken off" 2 Dec. 1697. He m. (settl. 7 Sep. 1690), Frances.f*) 3d da. of Sir Edward Hales, 3d Bart., of Woodchurch, co. Kent, by Anne, da. of Thomas (Wotton), 2d Baron Wotton of Mauley. He d. in London 21 Jan. and was bur. 4 Feb. 1717/S, in the chapel of Somerset House, Midx. Will pr. Dec. 1718. His widow m. July 1719, Stephen Taakfe, of Dowestown, co. Month, who d. soon afterwards. She m. thirdly Patrick Bellew (s. and h. ap. of Sir John Bellew, 2d Bart. [I.]) who d. v.p. and s.p. 12 June 1720. She d. 6 Aug. 17-19, in her 76th year, at Inchicore, and was fair, at Killeen. V. 1718. 5. Justin (Plunkett), Earl of Fingall, &c. [I.], only b. and h., styled Lord Killeen, till 1718, at which date ho was still a minor. He m. 29 Nov. 1731, Mary, da. of Maurice Fitz-Gerald, of Castle Ishen, co. Cork. He d. intestate and s.p. 27 March 1734, at Glasucvin.( h ) His widow m. 1735, Sir Valentine Browne, Bart. [I.], calling himself Viscount Kenmare [I]. She in. thirdly, as the 2d of his 3 wives, John (Bellew), 4th Baron Bellew op Duleek [I.], who d. s.p.m., 1770. Shed, in London, 1742. VI. 1734. 0. Robert (Plunkett), Earl of Fingall, <v.c. [I.], cousin and h. male, being s. ami h. of James Plunkett, by his second wife, Mary, da. of Robert Ccsack, of Jenistown, co. Meath, which James, was s. of the Hon. George P. (a Col. in the rebel army), who was 4th and yst. s. of the 1st Earl. Under the settlement made in 16S3, by the 3d Earl, he (as heir male) sue. to the whole of the family estates. He was Capt. in the Duke of Berwick's regiment in the service of the King of France. He m. Mary, da. of Roger Magenis, of Ivcngh, co. Down, who also was in the French service. He cl. 1 738 in Paris and was bur. there . VII. 1738. 7. Arthur James (Plunkett), Earl of Fingall, &c. [I.], s. and h., 6. July 1731, styled Lord Killeen till 1738. He m. 19 March 1755, at St. Geo. Han. sq., Henrietta Maria, only da. and h. of William Wollascot, of Woolhampton, Berks. He, who resided at Killeen Castle, d. 21 Aug. 1793, aged 62. His widow d. 12 April 1808. VIII. 1793. 8 and 1. "(<•') He was K.P., 19 July 1821.(4) He was cr. 20 June 1831, BARON FINGALL OF WOOLHAMPTON ( a ) With her he had £4,000. Her father, Sir Edward Hales, was by James II. after his abdication, cr. Earl of Tenterdcn. ( b ) Of his three sisters and coheirs, Mary, the yst., m. Maurice O'Conor, of Mount Pleasant, King's county. Their grandson and heir, Maurice O'Connor, about a century after the honours had been enjoyed by the heir male " without opposition or question of the part of the three daughters and heirs lineal of Peter, 4th Earl, made claim to the Barony of Killeen as a Barony cr. by writ and, as such, inheritable thro' females.
