He d, num. aud under age. 21 Sep. (1420), 8 Hen. V. being, apparently, the last heir male of his family. VIII. 1420. 8. Her husband (who was s. and h. of Sir Henry Hankford, by Elizabeth, da. and h. of Sir Kichard StaI'Letos), d. s.p.m. (1430-31), 9 Hen. VI., leaving, by a second wife, another da. [1433-34], 12 Hen. VI.), the sole issue of her mother, Elizabeth, 5i(o jure Baroness Fitz Wariue, by her husband Sir Richard Hank- ford both next ubovenamcd. She was 4. at Tawstock afsd. about 1421, being aged 12 and unm. [1433-34], 12 Hen. VI., and proved her age [1430-37], 15 Hen. VI., when she was the wife of Sib William Boubchieh. She d. before him and was bur. at Braunton afsd. He was br. to Henry, Eael op Essex, being 3d s. of Sir William Bourchieb, Count of Eu, by Anne, Dow. Countess ok Stafford, da. and h. of Thomas (Flantagenet), Duke of Gloucester. He was sum. to Pari, jure vxoris as LOUD FITZ WARINE from 2 Jan. (1448/9), 27 Hen. VI., to 7 Sep. (1469), 9 Ed. IV, by writs directed " Willielmo Bourghchier, MUM, Domino de Fit:-)Varyn.{ a ) He m. secondly Katharine, widow of ( — ) Stukelkt. She d. 26 March 1467. Her will (made with his consent) dat. at Braunton directs her burial to be at West Wolryngtou aud is pr. 1 Sep. 1467. He d. about 1471 aud was bur. at the Augustine Friars, London. X. 1471? 10. Fulke (Bourchieb), Lord Fitz-Warine, only s. and 1l He was sum. to Pari. 19 Aug. (1472), 12 Ed. IV, by writ directed " Fulconi Bourghchier de Fitz- Waryn, Chcrr."(«) He m. Elizabeth, sister and coheir [1509] of John, Lord Dineam,(°) da. of Sir Johu Dinham [Lord Dinham ?J by Joan, da. and h. of Richard DE Arciies. He d. 12 Sep. 1479, and was Bur, at Braunton afsd. Will dat. 1 April 1475, pr. 10 Nov. 1480. His widow d. 15 Oct. 1516, and was bur. at Grey Friars, London. (») A well-worked out pedigree, by Sir W. R Drake, F.S.A, of the descent of the Lords Fitz-Warine, thro' Audley, from Martyu of Tawstock, and (thro' Martyn) from Brian, Tracy and Braose, is in Marshall's " Genealogist, vol. vi, pp.16— 19. The estate of Tawstock is still iu the Fitz- Wariue descendants, having descended (thro' Hankford aud Bourchier) to the family of Wrey, of Tawstock, Baronets. ( b ) These were, however, frequently buried at Braunton which had been acquired (1384) in tho previous geueration from the family of Cogau. ( c ) The writs having been omitted for 5 generations in the last two, of which, how- ever, the persons entitled thereto died in minority) and no proof of sitting being found iu the rolls of Pari., makes it doubtful whether, the first writ constituting an heredit- ary Barony of Fitz-Warine should not bo reckoned from (1449), 27 Hen.
