He was b. 1556, beiug styled Lord Fitz-Warinb, 1557—61. He d. 12 July 1623. Edward (Bourchier), Earl of Bath [1536], to Loud Fitz-Warine [1295], and Lord Daubbny [1295], also 1037. Count of Eu, in Normandy [1419], 3d but 1st surv. s. and h. ; bap. 1 March 1590, at Tawstock, being staled LOHD Fitz-Warine till 1623, and made K.B. (as such) 2 June 1610. He d. s.p.m., 2 March, 1636/7, when the Baronies of Fitz-Warine and of Daubeny fell into abeyance,{ b ) while the Earldom of Bath and the Countship of Eu devolved on his cousin and heir male, on whose death, 16 Aug. 1654, they became extinct. Q>) The coheirs were his three daughters, viz. (1) Elizabeth, Countess of Denbigh, who d. s.p. 22 Sep. 1670. (2) Dorothy m. firstly Sir Thomas Grey, styled Lord Grey de Groby, and secondly Gustavus Mackworth. Her son Thomas, Earl of Stam- ford, d. s.p. 1720, but she had two daughters by her first, and one da. by her second husband. No issue of the youngest da. (Mary Mackworth) said to have m. a Lincolnshire gentleman is known of, but the issue of the second da. (Anne Grey), Mrs. Grove, existed (in the male line), till 1775, but possibly may, since 1857, be extinct, while tho eldest da. (Elizabeth Grey), Mrs. Benson is represented [1890], by Sir Rainald Knightley, Bart., whose aucestor (Lucy Knightley), m. Jaue Grey Benson, the only child that left issue of Mrs. Bei.son, aboveuamed. (3) Anne, Countess of Middlesex, whose issue by her first husband, the Earl, is extinct, but who m. secondly, Sir Chichester Wrey, Bart., whose descendant and representative, Sir Bourchier-Palk Wrey, 7th Bart., d. s.p.m., 11 Sep. 1879, leaviug as his representative his grandson (the B. and h. of his only da.)
