Anuria, da. and h. of bir Henry de Haddon, of Caudel-Haddon, co. Dorset He d. of the pestilence -a Oct. 1361, and is said to be bur. in Grey Friars. Loudon, but not improbably was Our. at Wantage, Berks. II. 1361, 2. Sir Ivo Fitz-Warine, s. and h., was never sum. to to Pari. He was at the siege of Nantes in 1380 and in the expedition to 14 14. Castile in 13S5. He m., before 1384, Maud, da. and coheir of Sir John AlUiKNTlNE. He d. s.p.m. 6 Sep. 1414, and was bur. at Wantage. M.I. His wife survived him. I.; served in the Scotch wars and was sum. to Pari, as a Baron [LORD FITZ- WILLIAM] from 24 Juno (1295), 23 Ed. I., to 6 Oct. (1315), 9 Ed. II., by writs directed " Rado. fit. WUU."{') He was Warden and joint Warden of the Scotch Marches, temp. Ed. I. and Ed. II. ; Gov. of Berwick and Gov. of Carlisle. His signature as " Jladus. fil. Williclmi, Dominus de Qrimthorp " is to the celebrated letter to the Pope in 1301.(0 He m. (fine [1281-2], 10 Ed. I.), Margaret, widow of Nicholas Corbet, da. and coheir of Sir Hugh de Bolebek, of Bolebek, co. Northumberland. He d. at a great age Nov. (1315), 9 Ed. II., and was bur, at Nesham, co. Durham. II. 1315. 2. Robert (Fitz-William), Lord Fitz-William, 2d but 1st surv. s. and h., aged 40, at his father's death, with whom he had been in the Scotch wars, 1311. He never was sum. to Pari. He m. Elizabeth, da. of Ralph Nevill, of Scottou, co. Lincoln. He d. (1316-17), 10 Ed. II., and was bur. at Buttenvick. His widow d. 25 Oct. (1346), 20 Ed. III. III. 1317. 8. RALrn (Fitz-William, afterwards Greystock), Lord Fitz-William, s. and h., b. about 1299, being aged 17, at his father's death. Having assumed the surname of de Greystock, he was snm. to Pari, as a Baron [LOUD GREYSTOCK], by writs from 15 May (1321), 14 Ed. II. to 17 Sep. (1322), 16 Ed. II., directed "Rado de Grayslok." See under " Ghetstock," Barony, cr. 1321 ; in abeyance, 1569. (») " The description Le Frere may warrant the conjecture that he was brother to the chief of the family, Fulk, Lord Fitz-Waryne, a person of great distinction at that period." ( b ) He appears to have been No. 27 in that order, viz., the first Knight elected after its institution, which consisted of the King and the 25 Founders. (°) He " had summons among the Earls and Barons to attend a great Council to be holden at Westminster, but which is not denominated in the writ a Parliament." Banks's " Bar. Angl." ( d ) This lady was Eleanor, then aged 30, and the second wife of Sir John Chideoke. She d. (1431-35), 13 Hen. VI., leaving Sir John C. her s. and h., who d. (1419-50), 28 Hen. VI., leaving two daughters and coheirs, viz. (1) Katharine, wife of Sir John Aruudell, of Lauherne, and (2) Margaret, wife of William, Lord Stourton. See " Coll.
