He m. 28 March 1740, in Audley chapel, St. Geo. Han. so,., Grace, 3d da. and coheir of George (Granville), Baron Lansdowne of Bidekoup, by Mary, da, of Edward (Yilliers), 1st Earl op Jersey. She d. at Witley, 1 Nov. 1769, and was bur. there. He d. 18 Nov. 1777, and was bur. there. Will pr. 1778. IV. 1777. 2. Thomas (Foley). He m. at her father's house, in St. Martins in the fields, 20 March 1776, Harriett, 4th da. of William (Stanhope^, 2d Earl of Harrington, by Caroline, da. of Charles (Fitzrot), 2d Ddke of Grafton. She, who was 6. 26 Oct. 1750, d. in childbed 2 Jan. 1781, and was bur. at Witley. He d. 2 July 1793, aged 51, and was bur. there. Admon. July 1794. V. 1793. S. Thomas (Foley), Baron Foley of Kidderminster, 3d but only surv. s. and h., b. 22 Dee. 1780, and bap. 19 May 17S1, at Marylebone ; mat. at Oxford (Ch. Ch.), 7 May 1798 ; cr. M.A., 25 June 1800. He was P.C. and was Lord Lieut, of co. Worcester. He ?n. 18 Aug. 1806 at (the house of Barones3 de Bos) Boyle Farm. Admon. Aug. 1834. His widow, who was b. 3 March 1786, d. 27 July 1863, in her 7Sth year, at 12 Great Stanhope street, Midx. ( il ) An interesting account of the Foley family, " by H. Sydney Grazebrook," is in Marshall's "Genealogist," vol. vi. pp. 117—122. The grandfather of the first Lord (Thomas Foley d. 1 Oct- 1677, aged 60), was the purchaser of Witley Court and numerous other estates. (l>) "Uord UrtiA post meridiem." (») His sister, Elizabeth, was the first wife of the celebrated Robert Harley, after- wards (1711), Earl of^Oxford and was mother of the 2d Earl. (?) This Thomas was s. and h. of another Thomas Foley (d. 1737, aged 67), who was s. and h. of Paul Foley (sometime, 1695, Speaker of the House of Commons, who d 1699), all of Stoke Edith afsd., which Paul was yr. br. to Thomas, the father of Thomas, the lst Baron Foley of the creation of 1712. 2b 2
