Hereford, 1275), was in 12S5 in possession of very I. 1299. considerable estates in the counties of Gloucester, Worcester, Wilts, Berks and Sussex ; was sum., with about CO other persons, 8 June (1291), 22 Ed. I, to attend the King, wherever he might be(«) ; was Capt. of the forces in Gascon) - in 1298 ; and was sum. to Pari, as a Baron (LOUD LA WARR, or DE LA WARR), from 6 Feb. (139S/9), 27 Ed. I, to 16 June (1311), i Ed. II. He was in 1300 (" sayc ct jirrus ") at the siege of Carlaverock, and (as " Domintu de Iscfichl ") affixed his seal to the Barons' letter to the Pope in 1301. (") He m Clarice, eldest of the two daughters and coheirs of Sir John De Treuoz, by Stand, da. of Fulke Eitzwamne. She d. v.p, before 1300. He d. about 1320, before 26 June in that year. He was, in 1300, one of the coheirs to his grandfather, John de TltEGOZ above named, and then aged 23, inheriting thereby Ewyas Harold, co. Hereford, Sec. He was sum. to Pari, as a Baron (Lord La Waiiii), by writs (both in his father's lifetime and afterwards) from 26 Aug. (1307) 1 Ed. II to "26 Feb, (1341/2) 16 Ed. HI. He became on his father's death iu 1320 Loud De La Waiib [1299] hy inheritance. He was in the Scotch, Flemish and French ware, was at the sea fight oft' Sluys in 1340 ; the siege of Nantes (being Capt. of 20 men of arms and 20 archers) iu 1342, and the famous battle of Crecy in 1346. He Bl. Joan, sister and h. of Thomas, Lord Gresley (who d. s.p. 1347) da. of Robert de Grksley, by Hawise, da. and coheir of John DE Bunon. By her he acquired the manor of Manchester, co. Lancaster. He d. 1347. Will dat. 11 Aug. 1345 at Wakerley, co. Northampton (with cod. 6 March 1346, directing his burial to he in Swineshead Abbey) pr. at Lincoln June 1347. His wife survived him. Derby, whose issue assumed the arms of De La Warr ; and (2), Margaret, who m. firstly, Thomas Staple, Serjeant-at-Law, and secondly, John Chanceaux, having issue by both.
