He d. 3d Oct. 1831 aged 64 and was sue. in the Baronetcy by his yst. and only surv. s«.n and h. male, but in the peerage as under. Will pr. She was b. 24 March 1822, m. 29th July 184a, at Mereworth, co. Kent, Evelyn Boscawen, who, on 29 May, 1S52 sue. as 6th VisaoUNT Falmouth. (See that dignity). He d. at Mereworth Castle 6 Nov. 1S89 aged 70. Family Estates.... Those of the Baroness, in 1S83, appear to have been 4,2">S acres, co. Kent, worth some £6,000 a year. Principal Residence.... Piiilip (Le Despexcer), Lord Le Despenceb, s. to and h., aged 36 years at his father's death in 1401, never 1424. appeals to have been sum. to Pari, as a Baron. He m. Elizabeth, yst. da. and one of the three coheirs of Robert (de Tibetot), Lokd Tibetot, by Margaret, da. of William (Deincourt), Lord Deincourt. This Elizabeth, who was aged two years at her father's death in 1372, inherited ( a ). This Lady, Rachel, widow of Sir Robert Austen, 3d Bart, of Bexley, Kent (who d. sp. 1743) assumed on her brother's death in 1781 the title of Baroness Le Despencer, under the (erroneous) impression that the termination of the abeyance in favour of her brother, was tantamount to its having been in favour of her mother, the senior coheir to that dignity. She d. B.p. 16 May 1788 aged 82, when the abeyance terminated as in the text. Her will as " Baroness Le Despencer " pr. 178S. ( 6 ) A good account of this family is in "Coll.
