The author trusts that the imperfections of the present publication will be overlooked in consideration of the undoubted value of the work to future observers, who, it is hoped, will be numerous, and by whose means a more complete natural history of the Mammals of India may hereafter be compiled.
The volume on Reptiles will, the author trusts, appear very shortly.
