weighed; The Gentoos are very numerous here, particularly the tribe of the Banyans, who are the faireſt dealers in the world, and remarkable for plain integrity, and an admirable command of temper, in the courſe of their tranſactions. It is impoſſible to rouſe them into paſſion, and when others are ſubdued by that temporary frenzy of the mind, they wait with patience till it ſubſides, and by theſe means, enjoy a ſuperior advantage over the tell of mankind.
