Mrs. Elvsted. [Going towards him.] Ah, Lövborg! At last——!

Mrs. Elvsted, [Looks anxiously at him.] What is too late?

Lövborg.

Everything is too late now. It is all over with me.

Mrs. Elvsted. Oh no, no—don't say that!
