M-Hay- United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary P°°sm' of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension-roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the ension laws, the name of Abbie M. Hay, widow of Thomas H. Hay, late a captain in the United States Army. _ Received by the President, April 19, 1888. [Nom BY THE DEPARTMENT or STATB.—The foregoing act having been presented to the President of the United States for his approval, and not having been returned by him to the house of Congress in which it originated within the time prescribed by the Constitution of the United States, has become a law without his approval.] May 1, 1888. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Thomas S-H<>¤ki¤¤· United States of America in Congress assembled, That Thomas S. P°"s`°” md °"°°”' Hopkins, late a private in Company C, Sixteenth Maine Volunteers, ` now on the pension-roll, be, and e is hereby, exempted, by reason of mental incapacity, from the limitation prescribed in section two of the act of Congress approved March third, eighteen hundred and seventy- V¤L¤0»1>-265- nine, entitled "An act making appropriations for the payment of the arrears of pensions granted by act of Congress approved January twenty-fifth, eighteen hundred and seventy-nine, and for other purposes," and he shall be entitled to, and there shall be paid to him, the same rate of pension, and the same arrears thereof, as if his application for a pension had been filed with and allowed by the Commissioner of Pensions prior to June sixteenth, eighteen hundred and eighty. Chilton, of Eminence, Missouri, the sum ofp one hundred and eighty-seven dollars and fifty cents, for services as mail contractor on mail-route numbered twenty-eight thousand six hundred and twenty, from Van Buren, Missouri, to Eminence, Missouri, between May second, eighteen hundred and eighty-six, and November fourteenth, eighteen hundred and eighty-six, in addition to the amount already paid him for such service.
