Such associationshall be authorized to purchase, or to take ssmmum. by gift or devise, and hold, land exempt from execution and from any appropriation to glublic purposes for the sole purpose of a cemetery, not exceeding eig sy acres, which shall be exempt from taxation if intended to e use exclusively for burial urposes and in no wise with a view to the proht of the members otp such association. Such association may by 1ts by-laws provide that a stated (percentage of the moneys realized- from the sale of lots, donations, an other sources of revenue shall constitute an irreducible fund, which fund may be invested in such manner or loaned upon such securities as the association or the trustees thereof deem prgger. The interest or income arising from the irreducible fund piéovid for in any by-law, or so much thereof as maybe necessary, shall devoted exclusive y to the preservation and embe lishment of the cemetery, and, where any by-law as been enacted ‘ for the creation of an irreducible fund as herein provided for, it can not thereafter be amended in any manner whatsoever except for the purpose of increasing such fund. After paying for the land, all the utiire receipts and income of such association subject to the rovisions herein for the creation of an irreducible fund, whether fiiom the sale of lots, from donations, rents, or otherwise, shall be applied exclusively to laying out, preserving, protecting, and embellishing the cemetery and the avenues eading thereto, and in the erection of such buildings as may be necessary or convenient for the cemetery purposes, and 'to paying the necessary expenses of the association. No ebts shall becontracted in anticipation of any future receipts, except for originally purchasinlg, layingout, and embellishing the groungs and avenues, for which ebts so contracted such association may issue bonds or notes, and secure the same by way of mortgage upon any of its lands, excepting such lots as shall have been conveyed to the members thereof; and such association shall have power to adopt such rules andregulations ss they shall deem expedient for disposing of and for conveyin buria ots. · _ ,8§c{;Y ’°“ ““°““”"‘° Sec. 2§7.  of a lot which they may deem improper. `An annual statement of the

financial affairs of such association shall be made by the clerk thereof.
