Approved, May 29, 1928 . CHAP. 890.-An Act Authorizing the Secretary of Commerce to sell at p rivate sale a portion of the Pointe Aux Herbes Lighthouse Reservation, ouisiana . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of Commerce be, and is hereby, authorized to convey by quitclaim deed to th e Lou isia na Hi ghway Com missi on th e fol lowi ng-de scrib ed property : A portion of the Pointe Aux Herbes Lighthouse Reserva- tion, Louisiana, bounded on the south by the southern boundary of the reservation and on the north by Lake Pontchartrain, and extend- ing two hundred feet on each side of a line running north thirteen degrees twenty-two minutes twenty seconds east, passing through a point o n the southe rn bou ndary line o f the r eserva tion t hree h undred and ninety-three and thirty-six hundredths feet from its westerly end, approximately six and five-tenths acres . SEC . 2 . In consideration of the conveyance herein authorized, the Louisiana Highway Commission shall pay to the United States the sum of $500, and al l empl oyees and of ficers of the Unite d Stat es, in the perfo rmance of their of ficial du ties, sha ll be all owed free passage across the New Orleans Pontchartrain Bridge and its approaches and ove r the proper ty her ein de scribe d, in a ccorda nce wi th the right retained by the United States in an agreeme nt of September 21, 1926, betw een t he Un ited Stat es an d the New Orle ans P ontc hartr ain Bridge Company, authorizing the said bridge company to occupy that po rtion of the tract herei nbefor e descr ibed, extend ing on e hun- dred feet on each side of a line running north thirteen degrees twenty-two minutes twenty seconds east, thr ough a point on the southern boundary line of the reservation three hundred and ninety- three a nd thi rty-si x hund redths feet from it s west erly e nd ; and any agreement entered into between the Louisiana Highway Commission and the New Orleans Pontchartrain Bridge Company or its succes- sors or assigns authorizing the said bridge company or its successors or assi gns to occup y the land t o be c onveyed under autho rity o f this Act shall provide for this right of passage . SEC . 3 . The New Orleans Pontchartrain Bridge Company and its successors and assigns shall have use for highway purposes and toll houses in connection with the operation of its bridge, of the tract to be conveyed under authority of this Act, without charge from the Louisiana Highway Commission .
