Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized to grant to the Arlington and Fairfax Railway Company, a corporation, organized and exist- ing under the laws of the State of Virginia, its successors and assig ns, under such terms and conditions as may be approved by the Secretary of War, rights-of-way over and across the Fort Myer Reservation, for rail way p urpo ses, with full pow er to loc ate, cons truct, an d ope rate railway tracks, structures, trolley lines, signal devices, and other rail- way appurtenances and adjuncts, the width of such rights-of-way to be det ermined by the Secreta ry of Wa r; prov ided that the land sha ll not be used f or other than r ailway p urposes and whe n the p roperty shall cease to be so used it shall revert to the United States .
