Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United State s of America in C ongress assembled , Th at the Secretary of the I nterior is hereby authorized and d irected to convey to the State of Minnesota the so uthwest quarter n orthwest quarter section 3, township 159 north, range 35 west, fifth principal meridian, in the State of Minnesota, upon the payment by the State of Minnesota of the sum of $64 .20, being the price of the land, timber, and incidental fees . Approved, June 25, 1936 . [CHAPTER 818 .] AN ACT To author ize a preli minar y exam inati on of the Lackawanna River with a view to the control of its flood . Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of War be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a preliminary examination to be made of the Lack awanna River, in the State of Pen nsylvania, with a view to the cont rol of its flood, in accordance with the provisions of an Act entitled "An Act to provide for the control of the floods of the Mississippi River and of the Sacramento River, California, and for other purposes", approved March 1, 1917, the cost thereof to be paid from appropriations heretofore or hereafter made for examinations, surveys, and contingencies of rivers and harbors. Be it enacted b y the Senate and House o f Representatives o_f the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secre- tary of War is hereby authorized and directed to cause a preliminary examination to be made of the Penobscot River and its tributaries in the State of Maine, with a view to the control of their floods, in accordance w ith the provision s of section 3 of an Act entitled "An Act to provide for control of the floods of the Mississippi River and of the Sacramento River, California, and for other purposes", approved March 1, 1917, the cost thereof to be paid from appropria- tions heretofore or hereafter made for examinations, surveys, and contingencies of rivers and harbors .
