49 [CHAPTER 36 .1 AN ACT March 21, 1935 . Making appropriation s to supply deficiencies in certain ap propriations for the [H. R. 6644.1 fiscal year ending June 30, 1935, and prior fiscal years, to provide supplemen- tal appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1935, and for oth er purposes . Be it enacted by the Senate and House o f Representatives o f the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the following First Deficiency Act, fiscal year 1035. stuns are appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not other- wise appropriated, to supply deficiencies in certain appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1935, and prior fiscal years, to provide supplemental appropriations for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1935, and for other purposes, namely TI TLE I-G ENERAL APPROPR IATIONS LEGISLATIVE HOUS E OF REP RESE NTAT IVES For payment to the widow of Anthony J . Griffin, late a Repre- sentative from the State of New York, $9 .500. For payment to the widow of Henry T . Rainey, late a Repre- sentative from the State of Illinois, $9,500 . For payment to the widow of Frederick Landis, late a Repre- sentative-elect from the State of Indiana, $9,500 . The three foregoing appropriations to be disbursed by the Sergeant at Arms of the House . Committee on Revision of the Laws : For the employment of competent pe rsons in conti nuing the work of compiling, c odifying, and revising the laws and treaties of the United States, fiscal years 1935 and 1936, $3,000 . OFFICE OF ARCHITECT OF THE CAPITOL Capitol Building : For the purchase and installation for the committ ee roo ms of t he Sen ate Co mmittee on Ap propri ations of compl ete, im proved ven tila tion , de humi dify ing air- cond itio ning apparatus with automatically controlled ducts and water piping for the connection of the different units of such apparatus, and for all necessary st ructural alterations required for such ins tallation, including personal services, advertising, traveling, and other neces- sary expense s incident the reto, $10,000, to be expended by the Architect of the Capitol without compliance with sections 3709 and 3744 of the Revised Statutes of the United States, to remain available until June 30, 1936 . The unexpended balances on June 30, 1935, of the appropriation for the Senate Office Building and of the appropriation for the House Office Buildings, co ntained in the Deficiency Appr opriation Act, fiscal year 1 934, f or ins tallat ion, re pair, and re condit ioning of elevators, and of the portion of the appropriation " Capitol Building and R epai rs, 1935 " , allo cated for in stalla tion, r epair, and r econdi - tioning of elevators, shall continue available for the same purposes until June 30, 1936 ; and in addition there are appropriated, to be merged with, and to be available for the same purposes as, the appropriations hereinbefore extended for the Senate Office Building and the Capitol Building, the following respective sums : For the-_ Senate Office Building, $5,500 ; and for the Capitol Building and Repairs, $4,500 ; in all, $10,000, to remain available until June 30, 104019 1 -36----4 [Public, No . 21 .1 General appropria- tions .
