Fo r cont inuati on of constr uction of th e follo wing p roject s and for general investigations in not to exceed the following amounts, respec- tively, to be expended from the general fund of the Treasury in the same manner and for the same objects of expenditure as specified for projects included liereinbefore in this Act under the caption - Bureau of Reclamation", and to be reimbursable under the reclamation law Ce ntral Valley proje ct, Ca liforn ia, $1 2,500,0 00, to gether with the unexpended balance of the appropriation for this project contained in the First Deficiency Act, fiscal year 1936 ; Grand Coulee Dam, Washington : For continuation of construc- tion of Grand Coulee Dam and appurtenant works, $13,000,000, together with the unexpended balance of the appropriation for this dam contained in the Interior Department Appropriation Act, fiscal year 1937 ; For general investigations, $200,000 to enable the Secretary of the Interior, through the Bureau of Reclamation, to carry on engineering and economic investigations of proposed Federal recla- mation projects, surveys for reconstruction, rehabilitation, or extensi on of existi ng pro jects and st udies o f wate r cons ervati on and development plans, such investigations, surveys, and studies to be carried on by said Bureau eithe r inde pendent ly, or , if d eemed advis- able by the Secretary of the Interior, in cooperation with State agencies and othe r Federal agencies, including the Corps of Engineers, National Resources Committee, an d the Federal Power Commission ; For administrative expenses on account of the above projects . includ ing pe rsonal servi ces in the Dist rict of Colu mbia and in the field, $750,000, in addition to and for the same objects of expenditure as are hereinbefore enumerated in paragraphs 2 and 3 under the caption "Bureau of Reclamation" ; in all . $26,450,000 : Prov ided, That of thi s am ount not to exc eed $75, 000 may be expe nded for personal services in the District of Columbia . The Public Works Administration allotments made available to the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, pursuant to the National Industrial Recovery Act of June 16, 1933, either by direct allotments or by transfer' of allotments originally made to another Department or agency, and the allocations made to the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, from the appro- priation contained in the Emergency Relief Appropriation Act of April 8, 193ti, shall remain available for the purposes for which allotted during the fiscal year 1938 .
