Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That Public Act Numbered 366, entitled "An Act to provide time credits for substi- tute laborers in the post office when appointed as regular laborers", approved August 27, 1935 (U . S . C ., 1934 edition, Supp . I, title 39, sec . 101), is amended to read as follows : "That s ection 5 of the Ac t enti tled An Act reclas sifyin g the sal- aries of postmasters and employees of the Postal Service, readjusting their salaries and compensation on an equitable basis, increasing postal rates to provide for such readjustment, and for other pur- Postal Service . 49 Stat . 904. 39 U. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States o f America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior is authorized and directed to issue a patent to Clackamas County, Oregon, on behalf of the United States, for the sout heast quar ter s outh west quart er, the n orthe ast quart er so uth- west quarter, and the northwest quarter southeast quarter section 11, townsh ip 4 s outh, range 2 east , Will amette meridi an, in the S tate o f Oregon, containin g one hundred and twenty acres, more or less, on cond ition that such cou nty s hall acce pt an d use suc h lan ds so lely for public-park purposes ; but if such county shall at any time cease to use such lands for public-park purposes, or shall permit the use of such lands for any other purpose, or shall alienate or attempt to alienate them, they shall revert to the United States : Provided, That th ere sh all be reser ved to the U nited S tates, its p atente es, or thei r tra nsfer ees, the right to c ut a nd re move ther efrom the mer- chantable timber reserving to Clackamas County, Oregon, when such sale is made under the provisions of the Act of June 9, 1916 (39 Stat . 218), a preference right to purchase the timber at the highest price bid . SEC. 2 . The Secretary of the Interior shall prescribe all necessary regulations to carry into effect the foregoing provisions of this Act . Approved, August 26, 1937 .
