Adjust size of editor window, please. I have managed to adjust my browser to a size in which the display of "CompleteConfectioner Glasse 1800" appeared exactly as the image when I selected the 'show preview tab,' but when the page was saved, the description changed to the default image of the window editor which is 80 cols x 25 rows. I will continue to transcribe the text without saving the results until the editor window is adjusted. Also, in the Preference tab, there is no statement to disable "Widen the edit box to fill the entire screen," at the bottom of that page aleast when I scan it. Any suggestions, thanks?

I think you've misunderstood how Wikisource works, and what it tries to achieve. We don't try to exactly duplicate the look and layout of the original in every detail. For one, we have no control over the size of window that users select, or the way their system will display particular fonts. We do try to preserve some aspects of the original layout, but we do not preserve aspects such as end-of-line hyphenation. You might want to look around at a few current projects and read some of the Help pages. --EncycloPetey (talk) 05:23, 19 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
