spaces in contractions

@Hesperian: g'day mate. When you are transcribing contractions (or elision, or both, whatever these informal parts of speech are called) do you ignore the half space or add a full space? I notice there is mix in this text, eg. 'did_n't and 'didn't' on this page. I can give this work a second proofread if you like. G'day to you! In my opinion, the space is clearly present in the text, and therfore must be included if the transcription is to be faithful to the original. However I am not certain that I have been consistent in this over time—I may have had a different view when I transcribed this work. Be that as it may, it certainly isn't okay to have a mix. You're welcome to re-proof the work if you'd like, though as I see it, I am responsible for fixing my errors.
