Problems with the title edit

The title will not display as it is at time of writing:

{{uc|{{xx-larger|<font color="red">'''{{drop initial|T|5em}}</font>rue stories of<br/>'''girl geroines'''}}}}

{{{1}}}

This is apparently caused by the html font tag (and possibly xx-larger not playing well with drop initial), which can be solved:

<span style="color: red;">{{drop initial|T|2=4em|7=sans-serif}}</span>{{xx-larger|RUE STORIES OF<br/>GIRL HEROINES}}

TRUE STORIES OF
GIRL HEROINES

However, this causes another problem when the whole title is centered because the drop intitial template is trying to place the initial at the left:

{{c/s}}<span style="color: red;">{{drop initial|T|2=4em|7=sans-serif}}</span>{{xx-larger|RUE STORIES OF<br/>GIRL HEROINES}}{{c/e}}
TRUE STORIES OF
GIRL HEROINES

Removing the drop initial template doesn't match the page-scan but is readable:

{{c/s}}<span style="color: red;">{{xx-larger|T}}</span>{{xx-larger|RUE STORIES OF<br/>GIRL HEROINES}}{{c/e}}
TRUE STORIES OF
GIRL HEROINES

The T can be enlarged slightly, but it will not be dropping below its own line of text:

{{c/s}}<span style="color: red; font-size: 2em">T</span>{{xx-larger|RUE STORIES OF<br/>GIRL HEROINES}}{{c/e}}
TRUE STORIES OF
GIRL HEROINES

I am going to change it to the last version above, as the closest match. If this causes a problem, this will hopefully show why I did that and point out a better solution. - AdamBMorgan (talk) 17:28, 8 June 2010 (UTC)Reply
