"Lord" with small caps? edit

There's an 1878 printing of the poem here (DjVu also downloadable from http://www.archive.org/details/abidewithme00lyt) which does not write "Lord" in small caps. Neither does this version from 1907. I haven't found the original 1847 publication, though (if indeed it was actually published that year - since the author died just weeks after writing the poem, it may have remained unpublished for some time). The above publication reproduces the 1861 printing in Hymns Ancient and Modern. That hymnal consistently uses small capitals for Lord and similar words. It may be appropriate to have several versions of this hymn on WS if they differ significantly; see for example Strange Meeting and Poems by Wilfred Owen/Strange Meeting.--Longfellow (talk) 08:11, 28 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
