The information on this page regarding him being a captain in the 101st regiment is wrong. The army List of January- April 1817 shows Adam has managed to retire on half pay and back dated to the 8th Oct 1816 . He manages this by changing places from the 58th to 101st Regiment of Foot ( Duke of Yorks Irish), who were to be disbanded, with Captain Hall who wanted to continue serving. So this was a paper exercise of convenience to allow him to retire on half pay. He would not have worn the cap badge of the 101st. His service is documented in the Muster and pay rolls for 1805-1812 at the National Archives. The 101st were not in the peninsular wars. I don't know how this can be changed but it should really read the 58th not the 101st.The error has occurred because the later Army lists of officers on half pay show him with the 101st which on paper is correct for after he retired. --MH032 (talk) 09:28, 5 August 2018 (UTC)MH032--MH032 (talk) 09:28, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
