Talk:Popular Tales of the Germans
In preparation for transcluding Index:Popular Tales of the Germans (Volume 1).djvu and Index:Popular Tales of the Germans (Volume 2).djvu, there are no definite titles for the short stories in these books. The possible titles to use are from four sources: the "contents page" of each volume (which lack page numbers for each story, and have a number of other issues such as misspelling "à la Montgolfier", and stating that there are seven – not five – legends of Number-Nip), the title on the first page of each story, the running headers on each story's pages, and the Introduction (the "Dialogue") which mentions two of them by name. Here's a table:

The running page headers seem the most sensible names to choose, except maybe "The Three Sisters", which seems compressed due to space (they have "Book I"/"II"/"III" on every other page, unlike the last three stories which have titles that are divided across both page headers). "The Chronicles of the Three Sisters" seems the best choice instead). The remaining question is whether to split the three books of "The Chronicles of the Three Sisters" and the five "Legends Concerning Number-Nip" onto separate pages when transcluding into the mainspace, or to keep each as a single page. --YodinT 13:02, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
