A note on the actual source edit
In Chapter VIII (Part II) is mentioned: "A summary of Part I of "Bunner Sisters" appears on page 4 of the advertising pages." Which establishes the original source as Scribner's Magazine. Unfortunately, the summary cannot be added since none of the scans contain any advertisement pages.
