Length, 6.20 inches. Adult male, rose-pink; back brownish; lower belly white; no white in wings. Adult female and young, upper parts streaked brownish and grayish; under parts white, streaked with brownish; bill rounded on top; a tuft of bristly feathers over the nostrils.
