Re: Establishing a secretariat general for the Council for Democratic Reform


In order for the operation of the Council for Democratic Reform according to the Order of the Chief of the Council for Democratic Reform No 7/2549, Re: Organisation of agencies and distribution of duties and responsibilities proceed in a smooth and efficacious manner, a Secretariat General of the Council for Democratic Reform (SGCDR) is hereby established with the following significant requirements:

1.Duties

1.1To carry out works concerning the meetings of the Council for Democratic Reform.

1.2To consider works for presentation to the Chief of the Council for Democratic Reform for further issuance of instructions concerning the public service of ministries, subministries, departments, and public entities directly subjected by the law to the Prime Minister.

1.3To ensure coordination between the Council for Democratic Reform and other public entities, state enterprises, and agencies concerned.

1.4To screen all statements, orders, announcements, or any other documents which are to be announced for general knowledge, before presenting them to the Chief of the Council for Democratic Reform.

1.5To carry out activities regarding public relations and promotion of understanding, love, and unity in the Nation.

1.6To be responsible for administrative works of the Council for Democratic Reform.

2.The location shall be in the Headquarters of the Royal Thai Army, at Building 2, Floor 4.

3.The organisation structure annexed to this Order shall apply to the Secretariat General of the Council for Democratic Reform and the Secretary General of the Council for Democratic Reform shall have the power to order instatement of personnel as appropriate.

4.The public agencies or state agencies concerned shall provide support with respect to personnel, budgets, and supplies for the sake of the above activities of the Secretariat General of the Council for Democratic Reform.

This Order shall take effect from the 20th day of September 2549 Buddhist Era onwards.
