In an index page (using TOC style) |rowXXstyle=h|Text which is a cross-reference or other text not providing a page number. |wordsInIndex|312 This puts the wordsInIndex, then a row of dots until the page number (e.g. 312). —— This puts two m-dashes.

 This uses the same pattern as a SIC reference. Here, "fric" is fric- at the end of the scanned page, and the full word is friction ("tion" on the next page). hyphenated word start hws, hyphenated word end hwe

hte This preserves the original "hte" text but provides a hover tip containing what was meant ("the").
