Stop muddying the waters

Several points.

1. By posting what you have on Cirt's talk page you are beginning to lose the chance of a fair hearing for you or your brother. The Wikisource community is a separate one to Wikipedia and Wikiquote and we will not be re-litigating the events or discussions over there. Your initial question on WS:AN relates to Wikisource only and it is only that that will be addressed here. I recommend you redact the post on Cirt's talk page.
2. Discussions that are split over several pages make it difficult for uninvolved parties to track and make decisions. This discussion was started on WS:AN (your initial post on my talk page dealt with a related but different issue) and that is where it needs to stay.
3. Due to time-zone differences matters here are rarely dealt with instantly. You need to be patient and wait. Additionally, I advise you to add no more material related to the discussion anywhere until after Cirt has responded.
4. Is this image of you and your brother File:Boys in swimming pool.jpg? If so, how recently was it taken?

Hi Bees. I am not "muddying the waters". It was Cirt who brought issues from Wikipedia to Wikisource, not me. I respect this wiki, and all other wikis, as independent.

1. My post at Cirt's talk page was only asking for transparency. However, as you ask me to redact it, I will.

2. I agree.

3. Sure, no problem.

4. I don't see the relevance of that question, but yes, that is a picture of the two of us. It was taken maybe 10 years ago. We're both adults now, if that's what you wish to know.

The Lusiads

Hi, I see you're working on this work. Not sure if you'd realised that we have scans at Index:The Lusiad (Camões, tr. Mickle, 1791), Volume 1.djvu. The implication of this is that they need to be proofread and then transcluded in to the mainspace sections. We always prefer scan-backed to "naked" texts and I don't want you to end up doing a lot of work in the mainspace that will then get over-written by the transclusion. Florian Cajori

Greetings, I am coming from your wikiquote talk page and User talk:ELApro where you stated

... decided that I should get a copy. Perhaps this December I'll start reading the book, and I might even add a few quotations to the article, as I go along.

Hi Solomon. That's a great idea! I have the book with me, but I'm not sure how to go about transcluding it to Wikisoure: according to Bees, above, "scan-backed" texts are preferable to "naked" texts – but I don't see any available page scans of the work. Umm… I hope I'm not putting my nose where it doesn't belong, but I happened to notice your discussion, and found a first edition scan on the Internet Archive. [1] Can it be used? —Clockery Fairfeld (talk) 17:32, 23 September 2013 (UTC)

Two books by Cajori are available in Project Gutenberg including his A History of Mathematics. But among his other influential books which are not available elsewhere on internet includes A History Of Mathematical Notations which can be a great collection for Wikisource. Although the book is 476 pg long the DjVu file is of 37.2 MB. Now we can start transcluding the book to Wikisoure by uploading the 37.2 MB file to Commons. @Daniel, in answer to your question about Commons: Yes, upload the djvu file from IA to Commons. See Help:Beginner's guide to adding texts or for fuller details Help:Adding texts. If you get stuck with something drop me a note on my talk page. Several of the experienced editors watch my talk page, so if I'm not around, one of them may jump in and help. If it's quite a large file (37.2 MB is a large file for my bandwidth), check with User:Ineuw as he's got fairly good bandwidth for dealing with large files. Warnings on page containing <math> section

Hello. I notice both yourself and User:Clockery have been actively proofreading Index:A History of Mathematics (1893).djvu. (I am copying this request to their page as well.)

Would one of you please be so kind as to have a look at Page:A History of Mathematics (1893).djvu/34, because it has been driving me crazy. If I edit and then preview the page (without even changing anything!) the <math> formulæ work; but the saved page still gives out red Failed to parse(unknown error): warnings. Can either of you please fix this and/or give a hint as to what is wrong? The same is approach seems to have worked flawlessly on other pages (e.g. Page:A History of Mathematics (1893).djvu/33), so why not this one?
