Translation:Ein Yaakov/Berachoth edit

Works in the "Translation:" namespace are to be NEW translations made by the Wikisource community. Their text should not be copied from other sites. --EncycloPetey (talk) 02:42, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

I thought that that page was referring to Rabbi S.H. Glick's public domain translation, which the website that I copied from has. The website that I copied it from does not own the work (no one actually does). Radioactive Pixie Dust (talk) 02:53, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
If a translation is in the public domain, it can be hosted on Wikisource, just not in the Translation: namespace. You would need to start a new set of pages to adding a specific translation by a particular translator. --EncycloPetey (talk) 02:57, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
I instead moved the entire set of pages and subpages to Ein Yaakov (Glick). Is it OK now to re-add the paragraphs you deleted? Radioactive Pixie Dust (talk) 03:18, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes. It would be OK. Just be sure to identify the source of the copied text on the Talk page associated with the work, so that other editors will know. --EncycloPetey (talk) 03:23, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
