Authors from Bosnia and Hercegovina edit

Are you intending to add works by these authors? Typically, we don't add a page for an author unless there are English translations of their works that are in the public domain. Having a lot of blank Author pages is just a disappointment for people who see the page, click the link, and find there are no works by them. Without any works in English that we can host, these pages will likely be deleted. --EncycloPetey (talk) 15:34, 24 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

I am surprised that only authors with works in public domain are included. I was convinced that "wikisource" is supposed to be also a sort of a catalog or a list of works where people are referred to these titles - I never thought it is supposed to be a repository for texts. I also noticed that not only literary authors are included; that lots of these authors are, say, politicians, who had never written fiction, etc. I am not sure, but Aleksandar Hemon is contemporary author and it's unlikely that any of his works are in public domain, however Ivo Andrić, Meša Selimović, Mak Dizdar, Branko Ćopić and Aleksa Šantić are all late 19th and early 20th century authors, with translated works, and with at least some works copyright free. It was my intention to include list and possibly links for these authors, but since there was no Bosnia and Herzegovina categories at all on the project, I thought that we first needed to include few authors to begin with - however, I need to look around and see how these other pages look and what is being include and how. There were discussions in the proposed deletions page, but I note that Author:Meša Selimović was not mentioned - are you aware of any works by him that could ne included in English wikisource ? -- Beardo (talk) 18:05, 27 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
