US–Germany Peace Treaty

edit

Please see all the links that point there, including the Index:Treaty of Peace with Germany.djvu which you are working on. If the linkages are incorrect, then please correct all of them. --EncycloPetey (talk) 23:20, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

@EncycloPetey: I have checked the special page above and it seems to me that the listed pages pointing here could remain. I changed the title link of Index:Treaty of Peace with Germany.djvu, now I think that my original edit could be restored. --ZandDev (talk) 02:17, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Then this will need to be part of a larger discussion. Your new target already has a scan, which is completely different from the one you provided. And the target you've chosen has an active deletion discussion. The changes you've made cannot be considered correct for these reasons. If it is the same treaty as the one you linked to, then the scan you're working on is redundant. --EncycloPetey (talk) 05:34, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
@EncycloPetey: The treaties Index:Treaty of Peace with Germany.djvu and Index:Treaty of Peace - Versailles (1919) Ottawa.djvu are the same, but in the first is also present a French version inside. I've also seen the related deletion request. Here it it stated that Treaty of Versailles is a mix of three different but similar text. There is consensus for the deletion however the treaty that will take place of the current one has not yet been chosen.
The US–Germany Peace Treaty is the treaty signed separately between the US and Germany, is composed by three articles and remains without a scan copy on Wikisource. --ZandDev (talk) 13:25, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I think that the {{migrate to}} box on US–Germany Peace Treaty should be removed and my addition of the box on Treaty of Versailles needs further discussion (as it is not proofreaded) and could remain as it is, reverted. --ZandDev (talk) 13:40, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
As I say, I think this needs to part of a larger discussion, involving more people, because multiple works need to be considered here. The French portion is irrelevant, since it would not be hosted here on the English Wikisource. --EncycloPetey (talk) 15:58, 1 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
