Batch Importation of NYPL version of US Copyright Information for 1923-1964 edit

Would it be possible to batch import the NYPL information on the copyright registration and renewal into Wikidata? I think that this would require the addition of the fields Unique_Identifier for the NYPL identifier assigned to each record, Unique_Identifier_Source to state where the Unique_Identifier is from, Registration_Country for where it was registered, a boolean for Registration_Renewed, and Registration_Renewal_Identifier. The full guide to the data is here and here. We can use the Copyright records to create the initial Wikidata for the books and then fix them up. This would allow us to vastly expand the number of books in Wikidata, help to avoid duplicate, and be able to quickly resolve copyright claims. As an aside, this XML data could also be compared against the OCR generated version from the scans on IA? ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 12:16, 29 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
