Me and self in search of horses and fresh place to put them, as last has become boggy. Hands as previously stated. (found both).
JANUARY 28.
Schum (?) and Jack better; & at work; & others as before.
JANUARY 29.
At work at wall.
JANUARY 30.
McC after horses; tracked them off run; & saw tracks of natives crossing theirs, to & fro; as though driving them; followed them till late; but could not come on them (natives or horses) Joe and Schum(?) at wall; self painting dingy.
JANUARY 31.
Sunday. Started after missing horses found them far off at 3 p m, natives had not molested then. 2 turkeys shot.
