Proofreading guidelines edit

  • Link to wikipedia for mentions of geographic locales, for the first mention only. Eg. don't link every instance of Durban to Durban. If the page is to a disambiguation page and it's not possible to figure out which of the redirected pages is correct, don't link (eg. Matabele).
  • Link to wiktionary for non-standard words of 19th-century South African origin. Eg. voorlooper. First mention only.
  • Also link to wiktionary if such non-standard word is one of Sir Henry's inventions, which may be the case for voorlooper, for eg. (Don't link if no entry is present, of course.)
  • There is a very high probability that the text at King Solomon's Mines is of the same edition, or one very similar. One main difference is that occasionally section/paragraph breaks happen at different locations, so spot-check a match and split.
