Section13.The Monarch holds the position of Head of the Thai Armed Forces.

Section14.The Monarch wields the prerogative to establish titles and grant decorations.

Section15.The Monarch selects and appoints from amongst competent persons one as President of the Privy Council and not more than fourteen others as Privy Councillors, who compose the Privy Council.

The Privy Council has the duty to present to the Monarch its opinions on all the royal activities about which He seeks its counsel, and has other duties as herein prescribed.

Section16.Selection and appointment of Privy Councillors, as well as removal of Privy Councillors from their positions, shall be at the royal pleasure.

The President of the National Assembly shall countersign the appointment of the President of the Privy Council or removal of the President of the Privy Council from his position, and the President of the Privy Council shall countersign the appointment of other Privy Councillors or removal of other Privy Councillors from their positions.

Section17.No Privy Councillor shall be a Senator, Member of the House of Representatives, public official with regular position or monthly salary, state enterprise official, or member or authority of a political party, nor shall he display affiliation towards any political party.
