Section24.Prior to assuming duties, the Regent appointed in accordance with section 21 or section 22 must make an affirmation at a meeting of the National Assembly through the following statement:

"I, (name of the affirmer), hereby affirm that I will be loyal to the Monarch, (name of the Monarch), and I will perform my duties with integrity for the benefit of the Country and the people, and I will also preserve and observe the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand in every respect."

Section25.Succession to the throne shall be in accordance with the gist of the Palace Law on Succession, 2467 Buddhist Era, and with the approval of the National Assembly. If there is no royal son, succession by a royal daughter may be approved by the National Assembly.

An amendment to the Palace Law on Succession, 2467 Buddhist Era, can be made in the same manner as an amendment to the Constitution.

Section26.In the event that the throne becomes vacant, the Privy Council shall nominate a successor according to the Palace Law on Succession, 2467 Buddhist Era, to the National Assembly for approval. Once approval has been given by the National Assembly,
