This routing will be over former U. S. 31 from the junction of M-139 south of Benton Harbor, northwest through St. Joseph, thence easterly through Benton Harbor on U. S. 12 and a new connection to I-94 east of the east junction of U. S. 12 and M-139, Also, beginning south of Muskegon Heights at the junction of present U. S. 31 and I-196, thence northwest and north with I-196 to junction in Muskegon with M-46, thence northerly overlapping present U. S. 31 B. R. to junction with present U. S. 31 B. R. and former U. S. 31, thence east to present U. S. 31. The sections of former U. S. 31 B. R. in Muskegon Heights and Muskegon chat are not on the new route layout for that area are to be deleted from the record. Also, beginning east of Whitehall at the junction of former U. S. 31 and present U,. S. 31, thence west and north over former U. S, 31, through Whitehall and Montague to a new spur connection to present U. S. 31 north of Montague.

This routing would begin in the city of St. Joseph at the present terminus of U. S. 33 and extend northeasterly over former U. S. 31 to present U. S. 31 and Interstate Route 96 north of St Joseph, a distance of 11 miles.

This routing is over a high type facility beginning southeast of Jackson at a junction of present U. S. 127 and proposed U. S. 127 north of the junction with 50 thence northerly to Interstate Route 94, thence west with I-94 to junction with preset U. S. 127.
