to be made unclean. lkts. I, I ומיטמא מטמא eventually
makes unclean and becomes unclean. Kel. II, 1 מיתטמאין
וכ׳ (ed. Dehr. מיט׳) are fit to become unclean and to
make unclean. Ib. וכ׳ מיט׳ ואינן מאחוריהן ומיט׳ Mish. ed.
(Talm. ed. מט׳) may be made unclean through their backs
(touching uncleanness), &c. Ib. VI, 4 ונכמאו and which
became unclean; a. v. fr. -- Yoma 38b [read] לטמא בא
לו פתחין (v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note) to him who is willing
to defle himself, doors are open; Sabb. 104a; Ab. Zar. 55a;
Men. 29b. -- 2) to make one's self uunclean by handling a.

טמיקא, טימי׳ m. (~~~~~~, tamiacus) belonging to the lmperial treasury, tamiaca (praedia), crown-lands, imperial domains. Esth. R. introd. אתם ט׳ אתם you are crown property (God's own people); הט׳ מן עבד לו הלוקח וכ׳ שוב (read ודם בשר של, abbr. ב״ו של, for שוב) does not he who takes to himself a slave from the crown lands forfeit his ife Ib. (ref. to Esth. VIII, 7) דפשט על בט׳ ידיה because he stretched forth his hand against crown property (the Jews).
