טפל m. (b. h.; preced.) 1) attachment, of secondary import, opp. עיקר. Gen. R. s. 39 לו ט׳ ולוט (Var. נטפל) and Lot was merely an attachment to Abraham. Ber. 12b לו ט׳ . . ויציאת and the exodus from Egypt will be con- sidered of secondary import to it (the redemption from the powers).
