מזג m. (b. h.; זגג, cmp. ממר fr. מרר) [clearing, refin- ing; fr. which מזג to clear (dark) wine by dilution &c..] 1) micture. Sifra Vayikra, N'dab., Par. 5, ch. VII במ׳ לא not in a mixture of water and wine. Nidd. II, 7 (19a) וכמ׳ Y. a. Bab. ed. (Mish. כמזוג), v. מזג. Y. ib. מוה I (b. h.) = זה מה, what is this? Tanh. Shmoth 23 (ref. to Ex. IV, 2) וכ׳ מוה כתיב מזה בידך מ׳ what is this in thy hand? It may be read mieeeh, out of that which is in thy hand thou deservest punishment.
