Served through the Crimean Glory is the shadow of virtue. campaign, and was Adjutant-General to the Forces, 1855 ; was present at the battles of the Alma, Inkermann, and Balaclava, and the siege and fall of Sebastopol; has the Crimean medal and clasps, the orders of the Legion of Honour, St. Maurice and St. Lazarus, and the Medjidie; served in India during the mutiny, and was Adjutant-General of the Forces, 1858 60; has the Indian mutiny medal. Was Under Secretary of State for War, 1866 8; is Lord Lieut, and Custos Rotulorum of co. Longford, and a Dep. Lieut, and a Magistrate for Westmeath. Married (1862) the Hon.
