33. Đā cwǣdon hys leorningcnihtas, Hwār nime wē swa fela hlāfa on þīs wēstene, þæt wē gefyllan swā mycele mænegu?[2]

34. Þā cwæð hē, Hū fela hlāfa hæbbe gē? Þā cwǣdon hig, Seofon, and fēawa fixa.[3]

35. And hē bebēad þā þæt sēo menegu sǣte ofer þǣre eorþan;[4]

36. and hē nam þā þā seofon hlāfas and þā fixas, and bræc, and sealde hys leorningcnihtum, and hig sealdon þām folce.[5]

37. And hig ǣton ealle and wǣron gefyllede; and þæt tō lāfe wæs of þām gebrote hig nāmon, seofon wilian fulle.[6]

38. Witodlīce þā [þe] þǣr ǣton wǣron fēower þūsend manna, būtan cildum and wīfum.[7]

39. And hē forlēt þā þā menegu, and ēode on scyp, and cōm on þā endas Magedan.[8]
